We just added a new addition to the Reading O program on TPT

and are excited to share!

We are always looking for ways to expand our students' vocabulary.  This word wall and portable word wall is a fun way to do just that!

This is our "Nemesis Word Wall." We kicked off our word choice trait this week and will be adding over used words...or a writer's Nemesis..to our wall.   We used a generic Greek structure on our wall before we had Michelle's amazing graphics.  We will be editing this now that we have Michelle's Greek structure!!!  We will be brainstorming overly used words (our first is "said") and adding synonyms to the wall!

Each student has an individual word wall on which they copy the words as an individual resource when writing.

Copy as many pages at you wish-- attach and voila- you have an individual & portable word wall!

We are so excited to be swapping with
Jeannie Hunter!
The 2nd Grade Surprise

She has a fabulous blog and she has swapped a copy of our Jr. Reading Olympian program for her

PHONICS CARDS!

I deeply believe in teaching phonics at all levels!!! Many of my 4th graders still don't know their "hunks and chunks."  These cards show them how to look at those big words in larger parts!!  Even kiddos in the 4th grade get excited when they see the digraphs and blends after we work on them!!  My readers that struggle benefit tremendously from this phonics instruction!  Make sure to check out these great cards and don't rule them out if you are an intermediate teacher!!!
