We wanted to share with you how we use the Root of the Day! We use
this resource as a classroom management tool! A student is in charge of
introducing the root of the day. Once introduced, students know they
have to wait to move about the classroom until they hear the root of the
day. This has been
SO HELPFUL with our transitions-no more shuffling papers or closing books as a lesson winds down! We also write each root on our calendar as one more way to reinforce the roots and their meaning!
Reading Olympians and Reading Warriors are growing and we are hearing amazing ideas from other teachers on how they are implementing
both programs!
